Jorge Altamirano joined Zamansky LLC in January 2014. As an associate in the firm, Mr. Altamirano has worked in over 100 FINRA arbitration claims involving suitability, fraud, and misrepresentation issues related to brokerage firms’ sale of municipal bonds, closed-end funds and preferred stock. Mr. Altamirano is also largely responsible for client management and works closely with investors through all stages of the FINRA arbitration process.
A graduate of Loyola University College of Law in New Orleans, Mr. Altamirano advocated for political asylum seekers and low-income clients through the Immigration Section of the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic. Additionally, he interned for the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, DC and worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Fredericka H. Wicker, Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal.
Mr. Altamirano received a BA from the University of Central Florida, where he majored in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations. He is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
